Not a sports post but something that pisses me off

has this world gone totally mad. It's happened gas has gone up to 3.50 a gallon I am sick of the oil companies forcing us to pay these ridiculous prices for a gallon of gas so they can line their pockets with another billion dollars. paying for gas isn't easy when you are working a job for minimum wage . I don't think the oil companies realize that making their gas prices go up they make the prices on every retail good increase as well. I work at Shop N Save and I've noticed that prices on a lot of items have tripled since i started there in June of 06 for the most part because they have to line their pockets with another billion dollars you've made it impossible for Americans to live on anything less than 20 dollars an hour. Gas prices make the world go round so when they sky rocket the cost of everything skyrockets and peoples salary just can't keep up THE OIL COMPANY MAKES ME SICK

MY GOD I KNOW!!! I had to drive 2 hours to come home and I spent 26 dollars on HALF A TANK. It pisses me off too. You aren't alone. But what can you do about it? I mean I'd love to say I'd ride a bike everywhere or take the train but you just can't DO THAT here in the states. We need a better transportation system.

I definately agree. I have a 16 gallon tank that takes over $55 to fill up with these prices. I work like 20-25 hours a week. How do they expect me to pay that, and my other bills just to get back to work?!

it's redick!

Hey I'm sorry to rain on the hate parade but you guys know that the oil companies don't set the oil prices, right? Check out this link. It used to drive me crazy too (bad pun, sorry) but now my anger is targeted toward OPEC and the gov't for all the gasoline taxes.

Understandable, it's the trickle effect. I don't have a car, but it's probably a good thing since I don't ha job. No job. no money, no gas.

That is the way life is. Sorry.

I agree! If I didn't have to drive everywhere I wouldn't. But it makes me sick to think about what the prices are going to be this summer! :o(

I agree. These gas prices are killing me. It is kind of funny how when it hit two dollars though that people went crazy and now it is almost doubled!!

I remember when gas went up $.99 and people freaked out about it. Now we'd kill to have it anywhere bellow three dollars. Like what Megan said, I love going to Europe because of their public transportation systems. Here we don't have that unless its one of the bigger cities.
